TANKS - A - LOT

Sometimes, a chance discovery becomes the start of something special.

Unable to continue their own diving journey, Rose and Julie Werrett wanted their diving equipment to go to a good cause—to continue being used and give others the opportunity to experience the underwater world. They stumbled across Disadvantaged Diver and generously supported us with a huge donation of training equipment.

We are incredibly grateful. As we begin gathering the equipment we need, their donation is helping turn our hopes and dreams into something tangible: the chance to offer people experiences and opportunities that might otherwise feel out of reach.

There’s a lesson in this for us. We don’t need to have everything in place to begin, and we don’t have to make it happen alone. Progress comes through small steps, shared purpose and the kindness of people willing to help. What starts as an idea becomes possible as others become part of it.

Diving offers more than a glimpse beneath the surface. It is an opportunity to explore yourself, to dare to dream and to challenge yourself and the constraints placed on the word ‘normal’. It offers space to build confidence, discover new possibilities and experience the sense of achievement that comes from doing something you once thought was beyond your reach. This donation is an early step towards making those moments possible.

We very much hope Rose and Julie can join us in the future to see their equipment in use and meet the people it helps. We would love them to see first-hand how their generosity is giving others the opportunity to accept themselves, explore their potential and grow within the unique underwater world.

Rose and Julie, tanks a lot. Thank you for your kindness, your trust and for helping bring our vision to life.

If you feel able to support us as we establish the charity—whether through equipment, time, expertise or funding—please reach out. We would love to hear from you and explore how you could help make these opportunities possible.
